Taste and design are the two most important elements in your wedding cake. The Cake Shop team will tailor a centerpiece for your special day that tastes as good as it looks. Committed to the art of baking, we create all cakes with the finest ingredients: real butter, fresh eggs, imported chocolates. More than half of our clients have tasted our cake at other weddings or parties!

Consultations to design your cake are by appointment. We have set aside Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but with enough notice, we may be able to schedule other days and times to meet with you. We are sorry but we cannot schedule appointments on Fridays or Saturdays because we are busy creating wedding cakes.

Plan to spend about an hour with us and bring any ideas you have for your unique design. Anything goes, from simple and classic to wild and wacky. We work with buttercream, rolled fondant, marzipan, sugarpaste and fresh flowers. Our lovely, handmade sugarpaste flowers and bows can be saved as lasting mementos of your wedding.

If you have a favorite flavor, please tell us when you schedule your appointment. We will bake a small complimentary sample cake for you. Our signature cake is a moist yellow cake with European raspberry jam and our classic buttercream. Other popular choices include our yellow cake with fresh strawberry inlay or our hazelnut sponge with praline filling and mocha buttercream. Since nothing is from a pre-made mix, the possibilities are endless.

Our wedding cake service includes your cake, with flavor and design of your choice, a box for your cake top, flowers or greenery for your cake table, delivery and set-up within the greater Jacksonville area (additional delivery fee applies to Amelia Island, St. Augustine, Middleburg and beyond), and complimentary use of any of our beautiful cake stands and plateaus. We also have a selection of lovely table coverings available for a small rental fee.

Pricing is dependent upon the design so we are unable to quote a price until we have met with you. The raw materials are the least expensive part of constructing your cake. While we bake your cake the day before your wedding, creating the hand-made sugar flowers and bows often starts weeks ahead and requires the efforts of our whole team. Even fresh flowers require time and effort to prepare them properly for placement on a cake. The number of servings is often not a good guideline in determining a price because you may or may not plan to save your top tier (6 to 10 servings) and because some designs require additional cake to achieve a desired look.

Ordering Policy
A $100 non-refundable deposit will secure your date. We accept Master Card, Visa, American Express and personal checks. Payment in full is due two weeks before your wedding date. This enables personal checks to clear and keeps you from having one more detail to attend to on your wedding day.

While cake flavors may change up until the last minute, many components such as hand-made sugarpaste flowers are made weeks in advance, so please, no design changes less than 21 days before your wedding date.
.
The use of one of our beautiful cake stands is complimentary with your wedding cake; however we ask for a $100 – 200 deposit, which will be returned to you upon return of the cake stand.
